Allen & Kim had long dreamed of owning their own business. With the economic times what they are today, it seemed an almost impossible dream.

Opportunity Knocks:

​As luck would have it, the opportunity to own their own business came along and after crunching the numbers, the couple decided to make a "leap of faith" and take the plunge.

They became the new owner of Buy Way Discount Store, in Columbus, NC and made a vow to be good neighbors to other businesses in the area and to bring a good product at a fair and reasonable price to their customers.

"It's not so much about making money as it is about helping our neighbors get quality products at an affordable price," says the Smiths.

Allen & Kim Smith are the owners of Buy Way Discount Store. They have been married for 14 years and have three children. Allen & Kim make Sunny View community their home.
